I guess I’m just really passionate about fitness and rapid fat loss techniques.

I’ve been a personal trainer since 98′ but I wasn’t always in great shape like I am now.  I have gained and lost 75 pounds even though I worked in a gym every single day!  I know firsthand what it’s like to be overweight and dreaming of having a beach-worthy body.  I tested and tried just about every exercise and diet program you’ve heard of.  And now I can truly say that I know the fastest and most effective way to take a fat and out-of-shape body and scuplt it into a lean, mean fit machine… virtually overnight!

That’s me in a nutshell, I love people and nothing excites me more than seeing my clients surpass their fitness goals and completely reclaim their lives!

I’ve had 2 definitive “Fat Periods” in my life and it all started when…

1st Fat Period

I was a skinny kid growing up, so much so that I remember my mom giving me Flintstones vitamins because she worried I was too skinny!  And then when I was about 10 years old, my Great Aunt moved in with my family and her favorite hobby was feeding my brother and I!  Even if we just ate she would cook up some delicious Peruvian food and make us eat.  Within less than a year I became a fat kid.  I can even remember being 11 years old and putting myself on a diet (I guess I was destined to be a trainer).

It wasn’t until I was 12 years old that I talked my parents into letting me play Pop Warner football that I lost all the weight… and fell in love with working out and hard training.  From 12 – 18 years old I was in great shape, I played “>football and wrestled in high school and even had a pretty muscular build for kid.

My senior year of high school I honestly believed I wanted to go into Law and be a trial attorney.  Hard to imagine how my life might have been if I took another road!  Working in fitness wasn’t even an after thought until my brother got me a job working the front desk at our local big box gym.  Well to make a long story short, after a couple of months there was a personal training certification class being held and I liked the idea of being able to make more money than $7 an hour… I passed and the rest was history.  Actually the way I got my first certification is pretty funny and if you ask me on the side I’ll be happy to share that story with you!

So, I was 18 years old,  in great shape, going to college and making pretty good money as a personal trainer, life was good!  And then…

2nd and Last Fat Period

When I turned 19, I also met my 1st serious girlfriend.  She was a great girl from an ethnic family and just like my dear Great Aunt, her mom also loved to feed her family.  And I, never wanting to be rude, never said no to food.  Within a year I went from 150 pounds up to 225 pounds, I had gained over 75 pounds of FAT!  It was a combination of eating high calorie, high fatty foods and being under a lot of stress going to school and working as a manager for the gym.

Like most people I kept telling myself, “ok after this meal… after this weekend… I’ll start losing weight”.  I told myself this for 2 years… and I worked in a gym every single day!  My breaking point finally came when my boss told me, flat out, how terrible I looked and I better do something about it or look for a new job.  To be honest, it wasn’t the possibility of losing my job that scared my but that other people also noticed that I gained weight… a lot of weight.  Her words kept me up at night and I had to reclaim my body.

She was a competitive bodybuilder and let me workout with her.  This was one of the most humbling experiences of my life.  I knew everything about fitness but I was fat and out of shape.  Those workouts were so tough that I’d regularly get sick after each session.  After 6 months I had lost 25 pounds and feeling great… fast forward to today.

I’m not gonna lie, it’s taken me a long time to get into the shape I’m in now.  But If I had the knowledge then that I have now, it would taken me 1/10th the time.  Here’s a picture from a few months back.
