Hi there, Steve here and I want to talk to you about something near-n-dear to my heart. I support many different charitable organizations every year because I believe there’s no better feeling than to give back and experience the graciousness of helping those in need.
One of my favorite and hardest working clients, Christina works for Casa Youth Shelter, which serves as a temporary home to
troubled youth, boys and girls, age 12-17. Casa Youth Shelter is a place where they can get relief from intolerable conditions at home and escape mental or physical violence, but more often than not, it’s both. This local Orange County youth shelter survives, solely, on donations and is in need of help!
Starting this Saturday, July 17th, I’m asking for everyone who attends bootcamp to bring in an item from the wishlist (bottom of page) to class to help the kids at the shelter. in addition, if your friends, family members and coworkers also bring in an item to donate, I’ll let them workout that day for free!
It’s difficult these days not to feel overwhelmed by all the bad news around us, every day. But when you give, from the bottom of your heart, you get to feel how much, indeed we all really have and how fortunate we are, in our current lives. A can of soup, a used sweater, $20, 2 hours of our time… these are all little things that we can give right now yet mean so much to others.
So here is your opportunity to not only do something wonderful for someone else but also get into great shape. Bring in an item from the wishlist below = workout for free. It’s that simple. And if you’re already a member of bootcamp, donate something anyways and I’ll promise to do something cool, to thank you soon!
Below is the wishlist and additional info for Casa Youth Shelter. Thank you so much for helping out these kids in need!

Thank so much to everyone who participated and donated to the Casa Youth Shelter at Saturday’s bootcamp! Together we we were able to collect an entire truck full of items such as food, kitchen supplies, clothing, school supplies, toys and sporting goods and money. So many times, it’s the little things that can make a big difference!
Saturday, after bootcamp, Julie and i delivered the donated items to the youth shelter and were given a tour. Personally, I’ve never been inside a shelter of any sort and didn’t know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the facilities were and you could feel the sense of pride and love from the staff and children that come to stay at Casa.
As we walked through each room, I could barely hold back the tears, imagining what the children must be feeling to be there. Luckily, Casa makes them feel as welcomed and loved as possible. If you ever get a chance, please visit and tour Casa Youth Shelter. It is a great organization!
Thank you again so much, from the bottom of my heart for your support!

Helping Kids and Families Build Better Futures
For 32 years, Casa Youth Shelter has served as a temporary home to troubled youth, boys and girls, age 12-17. Casa is a place where they can get relief from intolerable conditions at home. They come to us to escape mental or physical violence, but more often than not, both.
What they find at Casa is care and concern given on a one-on-one, heart-by-heart basis. The atmosphere is safe and nurturing, and in the presence of understanding and acceptance, healing can begin.
More than 10,000 youths have been our guests during these years, with counseling and professional services touching the lives of more than 42,000 family members. Casa is proud of its 85% family reunification rate since it opened its doors in 1978.
The services are many. But the most important include crisis prevention and intervention, professional counseling for individuals, groups and families, parenting skills classes, and family reunification goals. Besides shelter services, Casa Counselors also provide prevention counseling in eleven schools located in eight school districts to “at risk” middle school children in hopes of recognizing, intervening and addressing the kinds and types of poor decision-making that results in destructive behaviors.
Children many times find themselves on a rugged path. But with the opportunities that Casa offers, they can have a smoother road. We invite you to send your support in time or donations to these Casa programs.
